Since this is not a video, does it work to say “It’s your girl…” Ok, scratch that! Hello especially to those who have missed this part of Mamazeus. It’s been nearly two adventurous years of watching movies and documenting my thoughts. A niche I hear is doing this unwell soul some good.
I fancy myself as exciting sometimes. Those times will find expressions here. This Friday, I am throwing it back to my trip to Dubai. In summary, I bring you my Egbeda to Dubai success story.
I recently attended the Dubai Airshow, a famous aircraft exhibition show that has in attendance country generals, aircraft manufacturers, in fact, Aviation juggernauts. If perhaps, you have asked or are asking what a film reviewer was doing in the midst of such greatness, I’d tell you another day.
So, there I was, brushing past people I’d only find on Google search and doing the boogie-Woogie in my head and bam! This gentleman, with the most fantastic hair, addresses me as a VIP guest.
In that breathtaking second, there was nobody like me. I witnessed a distancing of my spirit from my sack of a body. It felt better than cold water on a sunny day or like orgasm after tumultuous sex. A eureka moment for sure!
For the rest of my stay, even the Devil couldn’t dissuade me from the realization that my status had transcended the Preshus with za goat wig level.
The Devil clearly hasn’t met with Lagos Traffic
Lagos knocked me out of my reverie. My first few days back home was a rude awakening. Who wouldn’t with the current heatwave in Lagos coupled with this damning traffic?
It’s a cruel joke Lord dining with the elites only to find myself trekking with commoners. Is there a lesson here?
Sebi our Lord Jesus left the glory of the heavenly places to be born in a manger? He even endured watching ass swiping little humans humiliate him. How much more Mamazeus? Abeg case is rested, I accept this brisk walk with the Agberos and fellow hustlers. It’s a lesson in humility.
