Fojo Media’s Kasanova opened in cinemas nationwide on the 13th of September and its release follows their editing catastrophy, The Reunion (Click HERE to read review).

The Kasanova story is based on two single parents who somehow find love after one failed marriage and one deceased spouse.

While veteran actress, Ireti Doyle plays Jessica, a music connoisseur who is inattentive to the needs of her teenage daughter Ini (Ruby Akubueze), Wale Ojo on the other hand, plays Femi, a widowed Casanova of no mean repute.

Femi’s teenage son, Jason (Alvin Abayomi) follows in his father’s trail. He has his eyes set on Ini, Jessica‘s (Ireti Doyle) troubled daughter.

The first minor conflict unfolds as Jason teams up with his friends to get Ini to fall in love with him as payback for her ‘Ice Queen’ behavior.

Femi and Jessica stumble on each other at a bar where Jessica confronts him for loosely talking about what women want. They end on a rough batch only to realize that Jessica is to be Jason’s music instructor.

On “the rest is history”, Jessica and Femi realize that they can’t do without each other, what was supposed to play as the major conflict occurs and this ultimately solidifies their love.

They live happily ever after…

Kasanova had the potential of being one of Nollywood’s biggest love stories, judging by the quality of the actors and their performance. However, it fell short on delivering a picture worthy of praise.

It’s ridiculous to even imagine that the editing team missed the glaring unsealed bottle of water served at Jessica and Femi’s dinner date. Ridiculous or not, they did!

They didn’t stop with an unsealed and barely full bottle of water, they went ahead to screw up the story’s trajectory- a feat they overachieved in their last production.
