You’d recall that episode 4 ends with Faa trying her hands with music. In this episode, Tobi  and Bada (Segun Dada) discover Faa’s amazing (rolls eyes) vocals and decide to have her record with the star singer, Akins. However, this breakthrough news comes with a price. Bada wants a bit of the much talked about “Faa Cookie”.

Big Brother Naija’s Soma is the latest introduction to the MTV Shuga series. Soma plays the character, Akins who is signed to Tobi’s record label. This might be exciting news depending on the ears that grab it. However, it’s best to advice that the character of the reality TV star isn’t KEY so expect not to see him on screen frequently.

On sexual violence, Episode 5 ends with Diana and her friends getting into more trouble than they bargained for at the previously mentioned party hosted by Chike CLICK FOR MORE.

Things spiral out of control as the guys begin to drug the girls.  Fortunately for Leila (Osunde), Cynthia(Uzoamaka Aniunoh) and Simi (Sharon Jatto), they make a quick escape and we soon discover that once again, Tobi chivalrously comes to the rescue. For the rest of the girls; Frances (Ruby Akubueze) and the all knowing Diana, we might have to wait till next week to find out…

Review

Faa’s character forces most of the emotions you’d feel in this season. I think her character is definitely the most developed character of season 6. We (audience) are forced to read her mind, understand why she makes some of the bad decisions she makes (even defend them sometimes). It’s a tough world for Faa and she wants to make it at all cost.

Introducing Soma of Big Brother clearly spiced things up for the show. Fans of the reality TV star will be excited for the addition. Soma is quite easy breezy with how he interprets his characters judging from his appearance in other TV shows but his appearance in this episode was too short to determine if he’d be a favorite.

Mrs Olotu also makes an appearance in this episode. It’s safe to say her character isn’t still a favorite for previously mentioned reasons. This episode felt so short! The scenes were short and straight to the point which is definitely a PLUS for the makers of the series.

PATIENTLY WAITING FOR EPISODE 6!
